Is this art, or an ad?

CONWAY, N.H. (AP) — Bakery owner Sean Young was thrilled when high school art students covered the big blank wall over his doorway last spring with a painting of the sun shining over a mountain range made of sprinkle-covered chocolate and strawberry donuts, a blueberry muffin, a cinnamon roll and other pastries. The display got rave reviews, and Young looked forward to collaborating with the school on more mural projects at his roadside bakery in Conway, New Hampshire. Then the town zoning board got involved, deciding that the pastry painting was not so much art as advertising, and so could not remain as is because of its size. Faced with modifying or removing the mural, or possibly dealing with fines and criminal charges, Young sued, saying the town is violating his freedom of speech rights.A customer holds the door for a family arriving at Leavitt's Country Bakery, Thursday, April 13, 2023, in Conway, N.H. Here's his email: Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! Hi Jaime. Here's a dilemma for you. My wife's cousin has two boys that are a couple of years younger than our sons. They recently fell on some hard times so my wife decided to put together a bag of kids clothes for them. Included in the bag of shirts, pants, shorts, etc was also underwear! I thought that was absolutely disgusting. Yes, I understand that they've been washed and disinfected but I feel like underwear is where you should draw the line with and-me-downs. My wife says I'm overreacting and that the underwear is in good condition and the boys can use it. What do you think? Disgusting and gross, or just one more piece of clothing to help out. Thanks so much.John PaulWell, for me personally, I would not want someone's hand-me-down underwear, nor would I give them...

“My partner says he’s a self-made player,” a club member told me. “He says he has never read a bridge book. He relies on intuition.”My friend said his partner’s seat-of-the-pants style didn’t work when he was today’s declarer. At 3NT, he took the queen of spades and led a club to finesse with dummy’s queen.“East took the king and returned a spade,” I was told. “My partner won, took the ace of clubs and led a third club. East got the jack and nine, and when hearts broke badly, partner took only eight tricks. What do you think of my `self-made’ partner?”“I would have to say he’s a product of unskilled labor,” I shrugged.BEST CHANCECorrectly handling single suit combinations is a learned skill for most players. South’s best chance for a second club trick is to take the ace and lead low toward his ten.As the cards lie, he wins two club tricks easily. If West had the jack, South wo...
