Albany man arrested with loaded handgun on Quail Street

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An Albany man has been charged after he was found to be illegally possessing a loaded handgun. The man, Tamir Tunnell, 23, was arrested by Albany Police Department on May 16. At 6:30 p.m. on May 16, police patrol officers stopped Tunnell in the area of Quail Street and First Street in regard to an ongoing investigation. During the stop, officers found Tunnell to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun that was concealed in his waistband. Tunnell was taken into custody after the firearm was recovered by police. He was charged with one count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. WHITEHALL, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, a Whitehall man was arrested on Wednesday and is accused of possessing a stolen excavator and trailer. On Thursday, he was arrested again for additional charges. Jerrick Jones, 37, is charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Deputies say an investigation found Jones was in possession of a 2015 Kubota excavator and a 2009 Cross Country flatbed trailer that were reported stolen out of Troy in October 2022. Deputies say the excavator and trailer reportedly have an estimated value of over $3,000. Later on Thursday, Jones was arrested again for alleged drug possession, illegal firearm possession, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia. O'FALLON, Mo. - Plans for a large-scale entertainment complex in O'Fallon, one with visions of a burger stand and go-kart track, are no longer in the works. Carl’s Drive-In, a burger joint that has served the St. Louis region for more than 60 years, announced plans last year to build the complex. Plans for the proposed venue were also approved by the O'Fallon City Council. HAZELWOOD, Mo. - A Hazelwood man accused in two violent attacks against his partner earlier this month is behind bars on felony charges. St. Louis County prosecutors have charged Aaron Gorman, 40, with first-degree assault, two counts of domestic assault and armed criminal action in the investigation. According to the Hazelwood Police Department, the attacks happened on May 7 and May 11 in the 9000 block of Dunn Road. The wife of a Pasadena radiologist accused her husband of intentionally trying to kill his family by driving their Tesla off a cliff along Highway 1 in San Mateo County, according to a newly unsealed search warrant affidavit. Dharmesh Patel, 41, his wife and their children, aged 4 and 7, were heading south on Highway 1 on Jan. 2 when their car plunged over the side of a cliff and fell more than 250 feet. The Patel family had to be extricated from the vehicle by emergency services. Court documents say that while aboard a rescue helicopter, Patel's wife told officers, “He drove off. He’s depressed. He’s a doctor. He said he was going to drive off the cliff.
