Colorado travelers will be a nonstop flight away from the lush countryside and rich history of Ireland with the launch of new air service next spring out of Denver International Airport.The Denver-to-Dublin flight by Aer Lingus, the country’s flag carrier, will take off from DIA four times a week beginning on May 17. An eighth bus from Texas carrying asylum seekers arrived in Los Angeles Thursday morning, organizers said.A total of 40 migrants arrived at Union Station from Brownsville, Texas around 11:10 a.m. Thursday, according to the L.A. Welcomes Collective.The asylum seekers came from Venezuela, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, and 12 were children. Almost all of them have relatives, loved ones or sponsors in California, the organization said.The migrants were taken to a receiving site in Chinatown where there were offered food, clothing, hygiene kits, health checkups and legal immigration orientations. A Kansas father is speaking out after he says a school bus driver struck and killed his 8-year-old daughter on Wednesday morning.Jasper Harper says his daughter, Harmoney Harper, and his oldest son had walked outside to wait for their bus when she was fatally struck. According to the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office, the two were waiting outside when a Derby Public School bus – not the one they were waiting for – hit Harmoney around 7:20 a.m. after she walked between two cars. OAKLAND — A woman and an infant were found safe after they were apparently kidnapped Wednesday, police said.Police were investigating the kidnapping and did not announce any arrests. They said the kidnapping happened about 9 a.m. in the 1200 block of East 33rd Street. Officers contacted the person who reported the kidnapping when they got to the scene.That person then provided video of a possible kidnapping of a woman and an infant.Police did not say how investigators were able to find the two people. SAN JOSE — James Lick High School in East San Jose was placed on lockdown Thursday after two students were stabbed, according to authorities, and a suspect remained at large.The two students, both minors, were transported to a hospital with at least one stab wound each, police said.
