Miss the supermoon? You won't have to wait long

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) - If you missed the supermoon Monday morning, there will be a few more chances to catch another one before the end of 2023. A supermoon occurs during a full moon while the moon is at close range to Earth, making it seem even larger than other full moons to some. The most recent supermoon peaked at 7:39 a.m. ET Monday morning. The moon will still appear full Monday night, according to WFLA Meteorologist Amanda Holly.Holly points out that the next three full moons will also be super moons. There will also be four consecutive supermoons in 2024. Two of the remaining three supermoons will be in August, the second of which will be a blue moon -- the name given to a second full moon in one calendar month. HOUSTON (KIAH) — A teenager who disappeared in 2015 has been found alive but injured. Rudy Farias IV was 17 years old when he vanished on March 6, 2015, while walking his two dogs near Tidwell Road in north Houston. The dogs were later found, but Rudy was not located. An electric billboard was put up in 2017 to help find him. Authorities said that Farias was diagnosed with depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety.But on Sunday, Farias’ family and the Texas Center of the Missing said that Rudy, now 25, has been found safe and sound."Please continue to keep his family in your prayers as Rudy recovers in the hospital," the agency wrote. His family says he is in the hospital being treated for several injuries and is in "bad shape."According to family members who spoke to the local ABC affiliate, Farias IV was found unresponsive outside of a church. It’s part of a new bill that empowers the state to override local governments in certain circumstances.Critics of the bill have called it overreach, while supporters said it will make it easier to do business in the state.The new law called the Texas Regulatory Consistency Act has been signed by Gov. Greg Abbott and takes effect on Sept. 1. However, the triple-digit heat that has been plaguing the Lone Star State has prompted concerns about how dangerous the bill could potentially be for workers. APD investigating homicide in north Austin Police found Larry Jennings, 47, with gunshot wounds. TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Troy man has been arrested following an investigation into the sexual assault of a minor, according to police. Perry Ransford, 74, is facing multiple charges. The investigation leading to the arrest took place over the last several months, yielding that Ransford allegedly engaged in sexual acts with a 13-year-old victim back in February. The original incident reportedly occurred in Ransford's 6th Avenue apartment in Troy. WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Wichita Police Department has arrested a 31-year-old man from Florissant, Missouri, in connection to the shooting at an Old Town nightclub early Sunday morning.Police say the Missouri man is being held on two counts of aggravated battery. However, there were nine shooting victims from the incident at City Nightz in the 200 block of N. Washington. Two other victims were injured from being trampled in the chaos.The WPD says the shooting injuries range from minor to critical, but all victims are expected to survive. The annual Cherry Creek Arts Festival showcases more than 250 juried artists from around the world during the Fourth of July holiday weekend in Denver’s Cherry Creek North neighborhood. This year’s festival featured 255 artist exhibitors selected by the 2023 jury from over 1,800 artist applicants.Artists included 20 award winners returning from the 2022 show and 5 emerging artists. In addition to the art, the event featured live music, a “Creation Station” for kids to create and experience art as well as food vendors.
