Editor's Note: The video above shows KXAN Live’s top headlines for July 28, 2023AUSTIN (KXAN) – The Texas Supreme Court denied an appeal on Friday by indicted real estate developer Nate Paul to reverse a judgment against him worth millions of dollars in his case opposing the Mitte charitable foundation. The clash mired both sides in a protracted legal battle and roped Paul into allegations against impeached and suspended Attorney General Ken Paxton.The Roy F. and Joann Cole Mitte Foundation invested millions in Paul’s World Class companies in 2011. Following a dispute over access to World Class’s financial records and getting their money back, the Mitte Foundation sued Paul’s companies in 2018. In July 2019, the parties reached a settlement agreement to have World Class buy Mitte’s interest in the companies for $10.5 million, according to court records. CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A tractor trailer rollover in Cambridge resulted in the deaths of seven cattle that were being transported, according to the Cambridge-Greenwich Police Department. The rollover occurred on July 27 at 9 p.m., closing a portion of North Park Street for a time while the scene was being cleared. Police were assisted by the Cambridge Fire Department and Cambridge EMS. RENSSELAER, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Rensselaer man has been indicted in connection with the death of a 3-year-old child. The Rensselaer County District Attorney's Office said Robert Fisher, 33, was indicted on second-degree murder and first-degree rape charges, both felonies. On July 7 around 7:20 a.m., the Rensselaer Police Department to the 1500 block of Broadway for a report of an unresponsive 3-year-old girl. The child was brought to Albany Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. A police pursuit involving an auto theft suspect ended with a violent crash in the West Adams neighborhood of South Los Angeles on Friday afternoon.According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers were in pursuit of the stolen vehicle around 11:08 a.m. when, during the course of the pursuit, a collision occurred at the intersection of Farmdale Avenue and Jefferson Street.The collision involved several other vehicles, and video from Sky5 captured a woman being loaded into an ambulance.
