SCOTIA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Leigh Baker started her small-batch bakery Scotia Sweets during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, she's planning on opening up a storefront to sell her baked goods from. "I get asked often if a storefront is in the plans, and I'm happy to say 'yes' to that question."Baker is originally from Wisconsin and started the bakery in California before moving to the Capital Region with her boyfriend who is from the area. She's the only employee and bakes everything in her at-home kitchen. ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Capital District Reptile Expo will be making its return to the Albany Capital Center. The Capital Center will be filled with over 180 vendor tables of exotic pets, pet supplies, enclosures, and artwork. The expo will also feature family activities, a variety of food options, music from Fly 92.3 and an education area with zoologists and other animal experts. Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, the parent company behind Denver’s NBA, NHL and MLL franchises, announced Monday it is exploring potential renovations to Ball Arena, which the Nuggets and Avalanche have called home since 1999.KSE is conducting “market due diligence to evaluate opportunities to enhance the fan experience,” according to a news release. Former Los Angeles County Supervisor and City Council Member Mark Ridley-Thomas was sentenced to three and a half years in prison on Monday.Legal reporter Meghann Cuniff reported that Ridley-Thomas was sentenced to 42 months in prison. "He’s to report on Nov. 13 and will stay out of custody until then. A large fight broke out Friday night at an In-N-Out near Levi's Stadium, KTLA sister station KRON reports.According to a Facebook post by the Santa Clara Police Department, the brawl broke out around 11:12 p.m. after the 49ers' preseason game against the Los Angeles Chargers.Two people suffered multiple stab wounds from the fight, according to SCPD. Students and staff at a middle school in Menifee are sheltering in place after a threat was made to the campus Monday morning.The threats against Ethan A. Chase Middle School were apparently made on social media and “out of an abundance of caution” a temporary shelter in place order was implemented, according to the Menifee Police Department.Authorities and district officials did not offer any more information about the nature of the threats.
