Up 2-0 and facing Suns potentially without Chris Paul, Nuggets coach Michael Malone says, “We haven’t done anything yet” Michael Malone found a still frame from Denver’s Game 2 playoff win over Phoenix that he said Wednesday he wants to have framed and put in his house. The moment worthy of a spot on the coach’s wall: A double contest of a Suns jump shot by Bruce Brown and Aaron Gordon.“It’s like a work of art,” Malone said, lauding the precise way in which they and others aggressively defended shots without fouling or compromising their positioning. … “That’s championship defense.”The Nuggets took care of business at home, staked themselves a 2-0 lead, moved to 6-1 overall in the postseason and now head to Phoenix to take on a Suns team that may well be without star point guard Chris Paul for a game, two games or perhaps the rest of the series. So, as Denver’s players took to the practice floor Wednesday to work out new ways to harass Kevin Durant and defending Phoenix’s pick-and-roll, Malone’s playing a different kind of defense. He’s guarding against complacency finding its way into his locker room.“...
