A civilian pilot may have received the fright of their life on Friday morning as they violated a temporary flight restriction over Lake Tahoe due to President Biden's vacation in the area, according to the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD). At around 7:50 a.m., the civilian aircraft began its flight towards Lake Tahoe when two NORAD F-16 fighter jets and a United States Coast Guard MH-65 Dolphin intercepted and escorted the aircraft out of the area. NORAD said that during the event flares were used to grab the attention of the civilian pilot. "Flares were employed with the highest regard for the safety of the intercepted aircraft and people on the ground," NORAD wrote in a news release. SANTA CLARA — Trey Lance is off the 49ers, and onto the rival Dallas Cowboys.Lance, drafted No. 3 overall in 2021 after a massive trade up to that perch, got dealt for a fourth-round draft pick, a team source confirmed less than three hours before kickoff of the 49ers’ preseason finale.Lance’s exit comes just two days after coach Kyle Shanahan informed him that Sam Darnold would be the top backup this season to Brock Purdy. The 49ers’ trading partner comes as a bit of a surprise, on multiple levels. One, it’s the Cowboys, and the 49ers can only hope this trade does not backfire the way an August 1992 deal did, in which Charles Haley was sent to Dallas (for 1993 second- and third-round picks) to help buoy the Cowboys’ Super Bowl runs.Second, Dallas has invested heavily in Dak Prescott as their starter, even though Prescott and the Cowboys have been eliminated from the playoffs the past two seasons by the 49ers.
