Minnesota Yacht Festival coming to Harriet Island Regional Park in St. Paul

It’s been years since a major music festival alighted on Harriet Island Regional Park, despite its seemingly choice location along the Mississippi River below the downtown St. Paul river bluffs.Counting Crows headlined a “Taste of Minnesota” concert line-up in 2010 that ended in bankruptcy for the longstanding food festival. In 2012, the odd match-up of dark alt-metal rockers Tool and the dreamy roots-rock of the Dave Matthews Band put the nail in the coffin of Live Nation’s short-lived River’s Edge Music Festival.C3 Presents now plans to sail into the same scenic venue that other concert promoters have feared to tread for more than a decade. The team behind the popular Austin City Limits Music Festival, Lollapalooza and Atlanta’s annual alt-rock Shaky Knees music celebration have announced they’ll take over Harriet Island Regional Park on July 19 and July 20 for the inaugural Minnesota Yacht Club Festival.Music line-up to comeThe music line...Charges reduced for Bar:PM owner arrested after police crash

Climate change is a major hazard to biodiversity on the planet in addition to posing a serious threat to civilization and sustainable development worldwide. Melting glaciers, early plant blossoming, rising air temperatures, droughts, fires, natural disasters, and crises in the economy and society that are made worse by climate change are all obvious signs of global climate change. The substantial amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere in most states with large industrial centers as a result of the alterations brought about by the Fourth Industrial Revolution makes the fight against climate change much more difficult, writes Mazahir Afandiyev, member of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. It is important to mention that this pressing issue first came up at the end of the past century. When a toilet is flushed in California, the water can end up in a lot of places: An ice skating rink in Ontario, ski slopes around Lake Tahoe, and farmland in the Central Valley. And — coming soon — kitchen faucets.California regulators on Tuesday approved new rules to let water agencies recycle wastewater and put it right back into the pipes that carry drinking water to homes, schools and businesses. It's a big step for a state that has struggled for decades to have a reliable source of drinking water for its more than 39 million residents. And it signals a shift in public opinion on a subject that as recently as two decades ago prompted backlash that scuttled similar projects.Since then, California has been through multiple extreme droughts, including the most recent one that scientists say was the driest three-year period on record and left the state's reservoirs at dangerously low levels. The Silicon Valley Advance Water Purification Center is pictured Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2023, in ...Another adult arrested in beating of T.O. teens with brass knuckles, hammer: VCSO
