A trio of NL pennant hopefuls are suddenly dealing with injuries to some pretty important players.The Philadelphia Phillies lost slugging first baseman Rhys Hoskins on Thursday when he damaged his left knee fielding a grounder in a spring training game. He needs surgery for a torn ACL and is expected to miss a significant amount of time.St. Louis Cardinals starter Adam Wainwright (groin) and Atlanta Braves closer Raisel Iglesias (inflamed shoulder) also will begin the season on the injured list.The Phillies didn’t say how long Hoskins is expected to be out. DENVER (KDVR) -- Following Wednesday's shooting, students made their way to the Capitol relaying their frustrations and safety concerns to lawmakers once again. East High students did the same thing following the death of their classmate Luis Garcia. Garcia was shot in the head outside the school on Feb. 13 and died three weeks later. Lawmakers have been working on gun legislation all month long but students made it clear Thursday, they are running out of patience.East High students filled the halls of the Capitol as they rallied for policy changes, getting their voices heard by any means necessary. A new report this week from the Anti-Defamation League reveals an alarming rise in antisemitism across New England. The report, issued on Thursday, includes information on incidents around the country, documenting an overall 26% increase in antisemitic incidents in the U.S. in 2022 compared to 2021. The report also said incidents rose across New England, with a 41 percent rise in Massachusetts. Seventy-one cities and towns across the state reported at least one incident of antisemitism in 2022.
