A 49-year-old motorcyclist died when he went off an interstate freeway ramp and into a ditch in Newport, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.The State Patrol identified the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, as Brian Paul Cahalan of Woodbury.Shortly before 6 p.m. Friday, Cahalan was riding a 2015 Harley Davidson north on U.S. 61 and taking the ramp to Interstate 494 when he crashed. He was not wearing a helmet and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to the State Patrol. Prosecutors have increased the severity of the charges against the North Branch man who they say intentionally struck and killed a teenage girl with his vehicle last month in Lakeside Memorial Park in downtown Forest Lake.Dylan Robert Simmons (Courtesy of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office)The decision to amend the criminal complaint against Dylan R. ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A 35-year-old man accused of assaulting a woman in the area of Grand Street and Madison Avenue on December 19, 2021, appeared in court on Monday morning. Jeffrey Everett was convicted of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, assault in the third degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree. PITTSFIELD, Mass. (NEWS10) -- The city of Pittsfield, in partnership with the Vietnam Veterans of America James E. Callahan Berkshire County Chapter 65, has announced the unveiling of a new mural honoring Berkshire County's Vietnam veterans who were killed in action. The mural, "Lest We Forget 1961-1975", was painted by Ghi Sign Company based in Canaan, Connecticut, and it references an original depiction from 1991 which was created on the building façade at 101 First Street. O'FALLON, Ill. -- An 18-year-old is accused of assaulting a school employee and O'Fallon officer after being denied entry into a football game. Antwan Douglas of Cahokia Heights now faces several felony charges.A statement from the city of O'Fallon, Illinois, says that Douglas tried to get into the end of the O’Fallon Township High School Blue and Gold football game. After being denied entry he, "pushed the employee about the neck." Camp Snoopy at Knott’s Berry Farm is poised to get an extensive makeover, which includes the permanent closure of two attractions, theme park officials announced.“We are excited about plans in the works for Camp Snoopy.
