Nuggets to face Clippers, Rockets again in newly scheduled games for teams eliminated from in-season tournament

The Nuggets will repeat the last week of November in the first week of December.In two new regular-season games not originally scheduled but now assigned to NBA teams eliminated from the in-season tournament, the Nuggets will visit the Clippers on Dec. 6 (8 p.m. MT, ESPN) and host the Rockets on Dec. 8 (7 p.m., Altitude TV). It’s an exact replica of Denver’s schedule this week, which started with a 113-104 win at the Clippers on Monday followed by Houston visiting Ball Arena on Wednesday.The Clippers and Rockets were also eliminated in Group West B of the tournament. The Pelicans won the group and advanced to the knockout stage.This will be the Nuggets’ fourth time facing the Rockets in their first 23 games of the season, and their third time facing the Clippers. A carjacking suspect was taken into custody after leading police on a chase spanning several areas of Los Angeles County Wednesday morning.Police had been monitoring the white Ford work truck since the carjacking was first reported around 6:19 a.m. in the 8500 block of Foothill Boulevard in Sunland, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson said. A Los Angeles man has turned himself in after a fatal hit-and-run crash in Silver Lake earlier this month.Christopher Gibson, 31, was driving a 2011 Mazda 3 on Sunset Boulevard near Edgecliffe Avenue at about 1:10 a.m. on Nov. 7 when he hit a 32-year-old man riding a scooter, then fled west on Sunset, police said in a news release.The scooter rider was taken to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter, police said. His identity has not been released.Gibson turned himself in to authorities on Monday and was arrested before he was freed on $100,000 bail.His next court is appearance is scheduled for Dec. 18 in Los Angeles Superior Court.Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator A. At least one person was killed and another was rushed to the hospital after a shooting at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles Tuesday night as police are searching for the suspect, authorities confirmed to KTLA. Calls about the shooting at 800 West Olympic Boulevard, a popular tourist destination near the Peacock Theater and across from Crypto.com Arena, came in at around 6:15 p.m., officials with the Los Angeles Police Department said. Two Pronounced Dead after Multi-Vehicle Collision near Cordova RoadSEGUIN, TX (November 29, 2023) – Marcus Keshawn Harris and Natalie Jean Gage-Avila died early Sunday morning in an auto collision near Cordova Road.The incident occurred at approximately 12:54 a.m., on the northbound lanes of Highway 46.Officers say the driver of a southbound Jeep Cherokee veered into northbound lanes and struck a Chrysler 300 head-on. The Chrysler then became engulfed in flames.Two additional vehicles collided with the scattered debris. Emergency responders on the scene pronounced both the Cherokee and Chrysler drivers deceased.
