That car crash, which took place prior to her marriage to the New Jersey Democrat, is alleged to be the inception of a bribe in the federal indictment against the couple.According to a report from the Bogota, New Jersey, police department, Nadine Menendez struck 49-year-old Richard Koop with her Mercedes-Benz sedan in Bogota in December 2018, killing him. She was driving alone.Police questioned Nadine Menendez and concluded she was not at fault for the crash, the report says, and she was released without a summons and allowed to leave the scene of the crash. (KRON) -- One person is dead after they were struck by an Amtrak train in Berkeley on Wednesday, the Berkeley Police Department confirmed. The crash happened at about 5:35 p.m. near Harrison Street. The victim died at the scene. The train stopped after the crash, blocking Gilman Street. There is no estimated time for the street to reopen. The video shows a man donning a fluorescent San Francisco Public Works vest as he darts toward a hot dog vendor and pushes a cart over. Buns, hot dogs, peppers, and other ingredients spilled out of the cart and onto the sidewalk.The October 1 incident reportedly happened at Pier 39, where food vendors frequently sell tasty food to tourists and locals on the weekends. CALGARY, Alberta (AP) — Former NHL coach Kevin Constantine was suspended indefinitely by the Western Hockey League on Wednesday as coach of the Wenatchee Wild.The major junior league said an independent investigation determined Constantine violated WHL regulations and policies by making what it called “derogatory comments of a discriminatory nature.”The WHL said Constantine will not be eligible to apply to the commissioner for reinstatement until 2025 at the earliest.
