SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) -- An investigation is underway after a sushi restaurant was burglarized by an individual who attempted to set it on fire Tuesday night. Surveillance video shows a man breaking into Sushi Confidential around midnight and walking behind the DJ stage before setting the fire in the restaurant's patio area. A security guard who was nearby noticed what was going on and alerted emergency responders. According to the restaurant's owner, Randy Musterer, the unknown suspect broke through three sets of glass doors using a fire extinguisher to get into the restaurant. The fire burned through the patio area, but did not spread to the main building. Deep in the wooded hills above Satartia, Mississippi, on an evening after weeks of rain, a patch of soaked ground collapsed. That was all it took. With a tremendous roar, the two-foot-wide Delhi pipeline ruptured, blowing a 40-foot crater into the side of a slope. A cool fog drifted downhill from the blast site and rolled across the highway into the tiny town.Jerry Briggs, fire coordinator for neighboring Warren County, was quickly on the scene. He assumed the pipe was spewing natural gas; such pipelines crisscross the region. But as his team rushed to help the victims, what they saw didn’t make sense.People were acting like “zombies,” dazed and walking in circles or gazing back blankly as responders yelled for them to evacuate. Others convulsed, drooling, as panic-stricken family members called 911.In the end, 49 people were hospitalized. Some still have symptoms and struggle with post-traumatic stress disorder. It wasn’t until about an hour after the February 2020 explosion that the ...Ruffian’s remains relocated from New York’s Belmont Park to Claiborne Farm in Kentucky

NEW YORK (AP) — The remains of Hall of Fame filly Ruffian have been moved from Belmont Park to Claiborne Farm in Kentucky, where she was reburied Thursday. The move was necessary because the New York Racing Association is starting the installation of a one-mile synthetic track. Ruffian was buried shortly after her tragic death in 1975 at the base of the flagpole near the finish line at Belmont.NYRA said the move will allow public access to Ruffian’s grave. At Belmont, the site was visible from the grandstand but inaccessible to fans.“I’d like to thank NYRA for preserving and protecting Ruffian’s gravesite at Belmont for close to 50 years,” said Stuart Janney, who made the decision to move the remains jointly with Claiborne and NYRA, where he is a board member. “Claiborne is one of the most beautiful and revered thoroughbred farms in America and the home of some of the greatest horses in racing history, and the ideal place for Ruffian.”Ruffian was buried at Claiborne...Robos y actos de vandalismo en varios puntos de Argentina agitan la campaña presidencial

LONDON (AP) — Romelu Lukaku’s relationship with Chelsea remains broken despite a lengthening list of injured attackers that is proving a frustration for manager Mauricio Pochettino early in his tenure at the English club.Lukaku has not been given a squad number by Chelsea this season and has made clear his desire to leave Stamford Bridge. The Belgium striker joined Chelsea for a then-club-record fee of $135 million in August 2021 but spent last season on loan at Inter Milan.Chelsea has been unwilling to consider another loan move and would rather sell Lukaku. If ever there was a time for Lukaku to be reintegrated to the senior squad, it is now.On Thursday, winger Mykhailo Mudryk joined an injury list that already contains striker Christopher Nkunku and attacking midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka.
