DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Bill Self will miss top-seeded Kansas’ second-round NCAA Tournament game against Arkansas on Saturday, the school announced.Self, who is recovering from a heart procedure he received earlier this month, has been with his team since it arrived in Des Moines and attended meetings and practices.Self declined to comment Friday when he walked past reporters after practice, but said in a radio interview before the Jayhawks’ first-round win over Howard that he is feeling better and getting stronger — just not yet ready to be on the bench for a game.Norm Roberts, Self’s longtime assistant, will serve as acting coach for a fifth game.Self went to the emergency room the night of March 8, shortly after watching the Jayhawks hold a final shootaround ahead of their Big 12 Tournament quarterfinal. He was complaining of chest tightness and concerns with his balance, and the 60-year-old had two stents placed to help treat blocked arteries.Kansas is 3-1 in S...Baño de sangre en un Motel 6: matan a puñaladas a dos hombres

Q: Now that our shooting has come around, why not another shot for Duncan Robinson? When our shooters are at their best, Robinson is our best shooter. That has been shown over the test of time. – Delroy.A: Because the shooting has come around without Duncan Robinson? Not to be unfair to Duncan, but it has taken this long into the season to finally establish productivity with the 3-point game, so why change what’s working? That said, with Kyle Lowry back, the Heat again have a nine deep that not only does not include Duncan, but also did not include Victor Oladipo in Wednesday night’s victory over Memphis or include Max Strus in Monday’s second half against Utah. So, for now, with the starting lineup of Bam Adebayo, Kevin Love, Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro and Gabe Vincent, and with Lowry, Caleb Martin and a backup center off the bench, there is just one spot left in a nine-man rotation. Oladipo? Strus? Or Robinson? And the rotation only gets tighter in the playo...Division 3 state girls basketball championship history

The first wave of NFL free agency goes fast, and the majority of the big deals are wrapped up in the negotiating period, which leads to about two weeks of bargain shopping before teams reassess and turn focus to the draft. The Chicago Bears didn’t skip a beat moving from bigger acquisitions such as linebackers Tremaine Edmunds and T.J. Edwards and guard Nate Davis to more modest additions such as tight end Robert Tonyan, nose tackle Andrew Billings and running back D’Onta Foreman, all of whom signed contracts Friday. All figure to be in position to play meaningful roles. Tonyan offers a lot more as a receiver than last year’s No. 2 tight end Ryan Griffin did. Tonyan has the added benefit of knowing the offense as well as any outsider based on his time in Green Bay with offensive coordinator Luke Getsy.Billings, who will earn $3.5 million on a one-year deal, projects as the starter in the base defense, a capable run stuffer that was necessary if the Bears hope Edmunds...Boston Public Schools takes step forward in merger of Dorchester and Mattapan elementary schools
